As a wedding photographer in Des Moines Iowa, I get to document some incredible celebrations, but Carissa and Will’s wedding at The Gathering Grounds was truly one for the books. Their day was the perfect blend of modern elegance, laid-back moments, luxury details, and so much genuine emotion.

From the moment the day began, there were happy tears, nonstop laughter, and an overwhelming amount of love surrounding these two. The overcast skies gave us the most beautiful light for portraits and created the dreamiest backdrop for their wedding photos.

Every detail felt intentional. Stunning florals, thoughtful design, an amazing vendor team, and a reception complete with a cigar bar created an elevated experience that still felt relaxed and true to who they are. The entire day was filled with heartfelt moments and the kind of joy that makes wedding photography so meaningful.

One of my favorite parts of the day was watching Carissa and Will simply enjoy being together. They stayed present, soaked in every moment, and celebrated alongside the most incredible group of family and friends.
